Larry Time

Last updated on

Some things Larry can't do well without a fact only you know. Larry Time is how it asks: a small dialog, one question at a time, while you're actually using Clynto.

Settings → Help & you → My preferences: turn the questions on or off, and choose how long Larry waits before asking again.

What it asks about

QuestionWhy it matters
When does this account renew? (a date picker; a mistyped year is caught)Renewal reminders, the Renewals dashboard and risk timing depend on it.
Who should own this account?Without an owner nobody gets its alerts, tasks or digest.
What is its ARR? (type 120k or 1.5m)ARR decides the profile and health rules, and feeds revenue reports.
What are its website domains? (add several)Email, tickets and usage are matched to accounts by domain.
Who are the main contacts? (a contact form: name required; email, role, phone, LinkedIn, and the 7 role tags; + Add another contact, up to 10)Larry needs someone to reach about renewals and check-ins.
You emailed someone@company.com — add them as a contact?Asked only to the person who wrote the email, when the address is on an unknown outside domain. Fill in the contact form, or Ignore.
Which profile does it belong to?The profile sets its health rules and playbooks.
How often is it billed?Billing projections need the invoice frequency.
An integration needs connecting againIts last sync was refused, so no new data is arriving.
An approval is waitingAn agent has proposed something only you can decide.
A document couldn't be readUpload a clearer copy so its details can be used.

You're only asked what you're allowed to answer, on accounts you can see. Questions come five at a time.

ButtonWhat it does
Save & nextSaves a valid answer and moves on. Left blank, it skips the question. An invalid answer stays on screen with the error.
Skip for 7 daysNot asked again for exactly 7 days (just for you).
IgnoreOnly on "add them as a contact?" — the one permanent "don't ask again".
DismissPauses Larry Time for your "Ask again after" time (30 minutes by default). The question on screen also waits that long, even if Larry Time opens sooner. It is not "never ask again".

If an answer can't be saved, the reason shows right next to the button (for example, a contact needs at least one email).

After five, Larry asks "Want to answer 5 more?" No, Dismiss or closing the window ends the session. If you keep going and run out of other questions, Larry may offer ones you skipped or dismissed before, marked "You skipped this earlier". Skip or dismiss one of those again and it waits a full 7 days.

When it appears

Only while the Clynto tab is visible, at most once per interval. Closing the dialog pauses it for one interval; afterwards only the still-unanswered questions come back. Live re-check: just before a question is shown, Larry checks the account again, so a question whose answer arrived another way — edited on the account page, imported, or synced — is closed and skipped.

Your settings

Settings → Help & you → My preferences is personal: turn Ask me questions off, or choose Ask again after 15 min, 30 min (the default), 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, 1 day or 7 days. Start now opens it straight away.

Note

Questions are worked out by a background job every 15 minutes, so opening Larry Time is a single quick read and never slows a page.
