Using Clynto from Claude
Last updated on
You can also use Clynto from Claude (claude.ai, the Claude desktop and mobile apps, or Claude Code). Ask about accounts and renewals, pull a ticket's history, draft an email, create a task or build a Studio report, all without leaving Claude. It uses Larry's tools, with the same rules as Larry.
Connecting
- Your Owner or a Manager turns the connector on for the workspace in Settings → AI & communication → Claude. It is off until they do.
- On that page, copy the address shown under Add Clynto to Claude.
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector, name it Clynto and paste the address. In Claude Code, run the command shown on the same page.
- Press Connect. Clynto opens; sign in if asked, check what Claude is asking for, and press Allow. You go straight back to Claude.
Untick Make changes you confirm on that screen to connect read-only.
What it can do
Claude works as you. It sees only the accounts you can see, and a tool your role doesn't allow (the audit log, financials, Manager View) isn't offered to it at all.
| Read | Accounts and their detail, health, the five journey tracks, signals, tasks, tickets and threads, usage and credits pace, approvals, campaigns, Studio documents and reports. |
| Change, after you say yes | Create and update tasks and signals, edit account fields and tracks, change many accounts at once, add contacts, draft emails and ticket replies, edit Studio documents and add report charts, create reports. |
| Never | Send email to a customer, approve queued actions, change members or permissions, delete anything, sign documents, or touch billing and integrations. |
Note
Every change takes two steps, just as with Larry. Claude first shows you what would change and nothing is written. Only after you say yes does it make exactly that change, once. This is enforced by Clynto's server, not left to Claude.
Email from Claude is always a draft in your own mailbox Drafts, for you to review and send. Links in Claude's answers open the record in Clynto; downloads open in the browser where you're signed in to Clynto.
Disconnecting
Remove Clynto from Claude's Connectors, or press Disconnect under Your connections in Settings → Claude. A connection also ends if you leave the workspace, or if the workspace turns the connector off.
Everything done through Claude is in the audit log under your name, marked via Claude. The conversation itself uses your own Claude plan. Clynto's AI tokens are used only when a tool runs Clynto's own AI: creating a report, meeting prep or running an agent.
